Sweet Emery Jade - San Diego Newborn Photographer

First of all, congratulations to my SIL Jackie and my BIL, Davey for the birth of their new baby girl, Emery! It has definitely been a long trial of patience, but what a sweet, sweet gift to receive! And right before Christmas!!! I had just gone to lunch with Jackie a few days before she went into labor, and she was told by her Dr. that Emery would be between 7-8 lbs. This little girl was a whopping 6 lbs 7 oz! I always forget how teeny tiny newborns are until I do these shoots. I just love the squishy baby faces and froggy butts! Emery's shoot was done in about 1/4 of the time I normally take to do. She had rising jaundice levels, and they were on their way to stay the night in the hospital. Unfortunately, there were no tanning beds to take get home on time since it was the holidays. But she was a sleepy baby which helped tremendously...a sleepy baby that would not put her butt down! Hahaha. No matter what I did, she would always stick it up in the air. She knows what she likes, just like her mama. :) Take a look at that blond hair!

Birthday Surprise - San Diego Boudoir Photography

Miss S and I have known each other for a while. Our husbands deployed together all the way back in 2006. It was my first deployment, and this girl and I would talk for HOURS on the phone into the early morning. I can say she was my first deployment buddy! :) She contacted me to take some boudoir photos as her husband's surprise birthday gift and was the last of my September Boudoir Special clients. Alaina did a great job with hair & make-up as always. I will say this only once...this beautiful woman is a MOTHER OF 3!!! Thank you Sonia. You look absolutely gorgeous and it was so nice to see you again.

Ready...set... - San Diego Portrait Photographer

I am taking advantage of this week because starting this weekend, my life is going to be go, go, go. I won't have a break until December, and I am counting on the craziness to make the last part of this deployment fly by. It's been nice being able to take a break. I really needed it...but at the same time, it gives me so much time to think about how many days exactly until my husband comes home. It's killing me! So keep checking back, because I'm going to have a LOT of new posts within the next two months. Alaina & I are traveling to San Francisco to do a boudoir party with 6 girls in November. It's going to be so much fun! And I have shoots in between and scattered throughout. Lots of work ahead of me. Thank God I love what I do...

Here are some pumpkin patch pictures when I took Savannah to two patches in one day with my friend Chrystal and her two boys. You may remember her from some previous shoots below. It was kind of a dramatic ordeal, which left no time for pictures at the first patch. Savannah rode her first pony; she loved it. She got her face painted for the first time; loved it. She stayed SO still, practically held her breath the whole time the lady painted her cheek. It was the cutest thing. She definitely made mommy proud. We left early and frantically because the whole pumpkin patch was swarming in bees. There were 3-4 bees at a time landing on our strollers, and poor baby Liam got stung by a bee in his palm! :( So we got the heck out of there. We gave the kids a rest, and went to another patch, but lighting wasn't the best. At least not what I had in mind for some pumpkin patch pictures. So, we will be making another trip soon, with Grandy, back home. Even with all the chaos, it was still a fun day. I just love the colors of fall, especially bright orange pumpkins! Until then, enjoy these quick snaps! :)

Vinny loved Savannah's sunglasses!

Liam's Modeling Debut - San Diego Newborn Photographer

Okay, I seriously cannot get enough of this baby... Good thing I see Chrystal all the time! I'm starting to get baby fever here...and that is something my husband would be very happy about! He wants another baby already! But, I am a total planner, and I want them at least 3 years apart... Unless the good Lord throws us a surprise, that's probably what will happen! :) But seriously, Liam was the perfect baby model. He slept almost the whole time and if he woke while I was posing him, a few pats and he was fast asleep. He let me pose him in any way I wanted which was just wonderful! And he didn't poop or pee on anything (or anyone!) It was so easy with this little guy. I had ordered some very cute beanies to be made for him, but unfortunately, Liam came before they could be made or sent. But that's what creativity is for! That sweet little "bowtie" is one of Savannah's bows! LOL. And that monster doll is something his mommy crocheted for him. Isn't it so cute?! I'm actually happier with the props we ended up using. A young 4 days old...I always forget how precious and tiny newborns are. They make Savannah look giant. Liam, you have so many people that love you so much. I know your Daddy can't wait to see you. Until then, be good for mommy. :)
